<aside> 🏕️ I know that camping might sound a bit extreme, but if you are an outdoorsy type, I would really recommend at least a couple of nights. But it does get rather cold, so make sure to find a warm sleeping bag. Or campervan can also be an option, but river crossing won’t be possible for many vans.

<aside> 🧳 Some of the places are included into ‘Golden Circle route’, but we go beyond that. Many people said GC was overrated, therefore we decided not to follow it. If you want to see wilder, untouched Iceland, with little to no tourists, I would recommend not sticking to the Golden circle as well
